Stephen Schaefer
CEO
Steve Schaefer joined HealthSouth in December of 2008 as Chief Executive Officer. He has worked in the Colorado Springs health care market for the past 18 years in a variety of leadership roles with a leading outpatient rehabilitation provider, a national wound care management company and as a senior executive for the local acute care hospital. Steve also serves as President Elect for the Board of Trustees for Leadership Pikes Peak.

Dr. John Wyatt
Medical Director
Dr. John Wyatt joined HealthSouth Rehabilitation Hospital of Colorado Springs, as medical director, in July 2008. Dr. Wyatt’s professional objective is to provide comprehensive care as a Physiatrist in the evaluation and treatment of both inpatient and outpatient populations emphasizing musculoskeletal evaluation and pain management skills. Dr. Wyatt has been practicing medicine for over 30 years. Dr. Wyatt is board certified and a diplomat of the American Association for Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. Dr. Wyatt is versed in Spanish, French and Italian.

Terri Mann
Director of Nursing
Terri Mann began with working with HealthSouth Colorado Springs when it opened in 1992. With more than 25 years of clinical and management experience, she provides leadership and oversight for the nursing, respiratory, radiology, pharmacy, sleep lab and nfection control departments and her heart stays true to rehabilitation. Terri completed her nursing education in Pueblo.

Patricia Penrod, CPA, MBA
Controller
Patricia joined HealthSouth Rehabilitation Hospital in Colorado Springs in February 2009 as Controller. Patricia has more than twenty years accounting experience and has held various accounting and managerial positions with global high tech firms, government contractors and medical research companies. Patricia received a master’s degree in accounting and finance from Regis University and is a Certified Public Accountant.

Dr. Chandra Sunderhaus-Collins
Associate Medical Director
Dr. Chandra Sunderhaus-Collins has been with HealthSouth Rehabilitation Hospital of Colorado Springs since July 2003 and is the Associate Medical Director. Dr. Collins received a distinguished student award when graduating from Purdue University, and then went on to medical school at West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine, receiving her doctorate and completed her residency at Columbia/Cornell University, New York Presbyterian Medical Center. Dr. Collins is board certified by the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. Dr. Collins is a member of the El Paso County Medical Society, the American Association for Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, the American Association of Electrodiagnostic Medicine and the American Osteopathic Association. Dr. Collins is also proficient in medical Spanish.

Nancy Grady, RN
Director of Home Care Services
Nancy is an registered nurse who has worked in the Colorado Springs community for 40 years.  With 20 years of home care experience, Nancy joined HealthSouth in March of 2008 to direct our HealthSouth Home Care. She has knowledge of all areas of home care including regulatory requirements, payers, and available community services.

Diana Crepeau
Director of Human Resources
Diana joined HealthSouth Rehabilitation Hospital of Colorado Springs in October 2008. Bringing years of human resource's experience to the hospital, she currently serves as the Director of Human Resources. Diana holds a master’s degree in industrial and organizational psychology from Florida Institute of Technology. In her spare time she enjoys skiing, hiking and spending time with her family.

Dr. Scot Sickbert
Internal Medicine (Geriatrics) ' Admitting Physician
Dr. Sickbert has been a member of the admitting staff at HealthSouth Rehabilitation Hospital in Colorado Springs since February 1992. Dr. Sickbert specializes in Internal Medicine and Geriatrics. He received his undergraduate degree from Southern Illinois University and received his doctorate from the University of Illinois. Dr. Sickbert is board certified with the American Board of Internal Medicine and the American Board of Geriatric Medicine.

Dr. Jeffrey Kulp
Internal Medicine ' Admitting Physician
Dr. Kulp has been a member of the admitting staff at HealthSouth Rehabilitation Hospital of Colorado Springs since 1992. Dr. Kulp specializes in Internal Medicine and Geriatrics. He received his undergraduate degree from Wesleyan University in Connecticut and received his doctorate from PA State University College of Medicine. Dr. Kulp is board certified with the American Board of Internal Medicine and the American Board of Geriatric Medicine.

Lisa Hinton
Director of Marketing
Lisa Hinton received a master’s degree in speech-language pathology from the University of Nebraska. She worked at HealthSouth Rehabilitation Hospital in Orange County, California, first as a speech therapist and later as the director of therapy operations. Lisa joined HealthSouth in Colorado Springs in 2008 as a speech therapist and project director. Lisa has been the director of Marketing Operations since June 2008.

Dr. Steven Mohnssen, FCCP, FACSM
Program Director of the Sleep Lab
Dr. Mohnssen has been the Medical Director of HealthSouth’s Sleep Disorders Center since 2001. The Sleep center is one of the earliest in the nation, and the first in Colorado Springs, to develop a Comprehensive Sleep Disorders Center. Dr. Mohnssen is board certificated with the American Board of Internal Medicine, Pulmonary Disease, American Board of Internal Medicine, Critical Care Medicine, American Board of Internal Medicine, Sleep Medicine Subspecialty, and the American Board of Sleep Medicine. His Honors include; Fellow, American College of Chest Physicians and Fellow, American Board of Sleep Medicine.

Dr. Mohnssen attended the United States Air Force Academy, received his undergraduate degree from Indiana University and received his doctorate from Indiana University Medical School. Dr. Mohnssen specializes in Pulmonary Disease, Critical Care Medicine and Sleep Medicine.
